About Muhammad Ajlal Qazi

I've completed my Bachelors from University of Engineering and Technology UET in 2012, after which I joined NESPAK as Junior Civil Engineer. I was responsible for inspecting the construction of foundations for transmission line towers, particularly, testing out the 132 KV Kotlakhpat grid station for the construction of Static Var Compensator, which included foundation works, firewalls constructions, transformer pad foundations and construction of control building. In 2014, I joined Packages Construction Pvt Ltd, and worked as Assistant Civil Manager for the next three years. I was responsible for the supervision and inspection of all civil work done throughout the construction of Packages Mall, starting from foundations which were piles, complete superstructure consisting of three floors, each having different pours of slab, complete finishing including flooring, ceiling paint, and external fabric of the Mall which consisted of huge panels of tiles at the building facade and glazing. I made sure that quality control assurance was the team's top priority, that they were following best practices and complying with health and safety guidelines, using materials efficiently, and following strict timelines scheduled to meet the deadline to launch the Mall, as per commitment. Once the Mall was operational, I moved to operations as Assistant Mall Manager, and I head the entire Mall's operations, including housekeeping, car park facilities, security issues, mall maintenance works, and coordination with tenants and solving their everyday issues, managing cleaning contractors, customer services department, etc. Being part of Packages since day one when it was barren land, to making it one of Asia's leading Shopping Malls was a great success, and joining operations after construction was a great learning process to see the results of the decisions we made during construction, and the pros and cons that followed, be it the quality of materials used, o r working with several contractors and suppliers. However, now I believe I have enough experience to work as a Project Manager, and lead upcoming construction projects.
