About Imran Shahid

I have been working with Angels International College AIC for the last 21 years. I started my career with AIC as a Mathematics teacher and have produced excellent results for my Matriculation National Board Cambridge Assessment International Education CAIE Secondary Checkpoint, GCE O’ level and A level classes. I have served as Mathematics coordinator for about two years and later on as principal of Atlantis campus to date. Currently I am given the additional responsibilities of International Baccalaureate IB Coordinator for Middle Years Programme MYP and Diploma Programme DP in AIC. My areas of expertise are: teaching Mathematics Matriculation, ‘O and A’ Level, IB-MYP, IB-DP, implementation of IB-MYP and IB-DP, coordination with in the campuses and evaluation of different campuses. I am a trained professional by British Council for stages 1, 2 & 3. Besides this I have attended IB online and face to face workshops on pedagogical leadership, Implementing IB PYP and MYP in classrooms and assessments. I have completed various short courses regarding pedagogical leadership, classroom management, leadership, spoken English, teaching methodology, financial management, budget making & management and curriculum development. Presently, I am heading Atlantis Campus with almost 1250 learners and 112 faculty members. My areas of responsibility are:  Training and evaluation of more than 100 teachers / heads in all three campuses  Monitoring and evaluation of teaching practices and learners’ skill across the campuses.  Conducting surveys for parents’ and learners’ satisfaction  Independent evaluation of learners to confirm the high standards of learning.  Planning and executing audits of all three campuses.  Preparing reports and developing strategies using my analytical and pedagogical skills.  Working with section coordinator to achieve their annual targets which includes volume, Matriculation results, CIE results, IB PYP and MYP implementation.  Working and corresponding with IB regional office for the smooth and successful implementation of the programs. As an educationist I have three core beliefs: 1. Student Development and Achievement is our primary purpose and we must be accountable for all students’ learning and growth at high levels 2. Parent Engagement supports and maintains the educational process while setting a personal and character development standard for students 3. The Teaching and Learning Environment is the pathway to establish positive school experiences and to motivate students to dream big and work hard I have found these beliefs to be of value in supporting a child-centered learning environment.
