Cantonment Board is established by the Ministry of Defence and it is the civic administrative body, which comes under control of army and it manages the administrative control of the area through this department. This board is comprised of the elected members and some nominated members under the provision of rules. This department is responsible for the provision of water supply, primary education, sanitation, public health, and street lighting in its area. The board can levy tax and they use this amount on the public projects and the government gives the financial assistance to the people.
